53m Gold Chrome Superyacht Wrap

We were approached to transform a 53m Turquoise yacht into what would appear to be a floating bar of gold. The request called for a full-hull wrap using gold chrome vinyl — a material typically only applied to cars in small sections, never in full rolls, and certainly never on a project of this scale. After reviewing all chrome options, a final choice was made, and the pressure was on: the wrap had to be completed against an extremely tight deadline for a promotional campaign with hair extension company Bellami Hair..

Our team sourced every roll of gold chrome available across Europe, with the last rolls needing to be brought over from the US, and set to work, applying the material lengthways along the hull. The result was a world-first — a feat of installation that had never been attempted at this size with such a challenging material. The project and promotion were a resounding success, though it must be noted that chrome vinyl is not intended for use on yachts and is not recommended for long-term applications.
